Update For Runes of Magic – Free Online MMO Game

I have played Runes of Magic for about 10 hours now over the past week and have reached level 7 as a fighter, and am level 3 in several crafting skills. Honestly I can tell you that I have played Guild Wars for almost two years and paid for three expansion packs, and I am just loving Runes of Magic. The game has all of the elements you would want in an online MMO game, with the ability to fight and hunt down quests, or just work on crafting and developing skills.

I purchased my own house already as my base of operations in the next town, and also purchased a horse which you can purchase for faster overland movement between towns. The only thing the game seems to lack is a more unique path for skill development, and it has much fewer class based skills than Guild Wars, so other than the varied equipment all fighters pretty much have the same skills and feats.

If they would expand on allowing more unique skills and perhaps allowing more customization of character attributes on attaining levels, like choosing to increase attack, or defense, this could be one of the best MMO games in existence. Still for being a completely free MMO game I find this game at least as enjoyable to Guild Wars or several other MMO games that I have played.

Once again, gamers if you don’t want to spend the monthly fee on a typical MMO, or even the $40 for a boxed game, I highly recommend you google and download Runes of Magic, which is one of the best free RPG MMO games on the web, it doesn’t feel like a free game, it is that good.
