I telecommute and work from my home office about 10-12 hours per day. I burned through four cheap office chairs from Officemax or Staples over the past year through wear and tear and the chairs just wearing out. I finally spent the money on a very high quality ergonomic office chair and it has lasted me a year without any issues so far. The chair is comfortable and I can sit in it for hours without any back, neck or leg pain as I did on some of my older chairs. If you are sitting on a office chair, whether you work from home or in an office it is time to consider some high quality ergonomic office chairs.

When buying an office chair make sure that first and foremost it is comfortable, some arch backwards too much for me and others are too vertical even with the adjustable backing. I need a chair that has a lot of movement without creaks and squeaks. I am very hyperactive and I often move my legs and my body in my chair, and my chair needs to hold up to that day in and day out for months or years.

A quality chair makes all the difference, I even have one with all mesh backing and seat area, so that I have better airflow. I can’t stand being all up against solid cloth chairs anymore they make me too hot.
