Leapfish is integrating Topsy into real time searches so that search results will show the most influential and highest rated results at the top of the list. Topsy is a search engine that allows you to search tweets and it sorts the tweets by search relevance, influence of who is talking about the keyword searched for as well as the popularity of the tweet. Just for the fun of it I went to Topsy.com after this article and did a search for Random Twitter Poem. I was surprised to see how prevalent I was with the “poetry” and “twitter” keywords when I saw the results.
Leapfish does continue to improve and innovate in providing real time search results and I am curious to see how the Topsy integration helps improve real time search results.
