When we think about gaming PCs, the first thing that comes to mind is usually a giant case filled with RGB lights, and we certainly believe you’re right in thinking that. However, not everyone needs something that large, whether it’s due to a tight budget or simply because they’re looking for something portable yet powerful.
A very interesting solution is the ACEMAGICIAN Mini Gaming PC, which offers a powerful processor, integrated graphics, DDR5 RAM, and SSD storage. All of this for just $400, so it sounds like a tempting offer. But is it the right choice for you? You’ve probably already heard of mini PCs; they’re not new, but they have improved over time, and brands have made significant advancements, such as better heat dissipation and the integration of better technologies. Although 99% of these mini PCs rely on processor graphics instead of dedicated graphics.
So, what limitations exist? Well, the ACEMAGICIAN Mini Gaming PC uses a Ryzen 7 6800H processor, with 8 cores and a turbo frequency of up to 4.7 GHz. This processor includes integrated graphics, the AMD Radeon 680M, which provides performance like the Nvidia GTX 1650. So, it’s powerful, but don’t expect any recent games to run above 1080p. Even so, many of the latest games aren’t that demanding, so you can expect medium or high settings in some titles.
The issue arises when trying to run very demanding games like Red Dead Redemption 2, which, while not new, is graphically intensive. I took a quick look on YouTube, and it runs at an average of 35 FPS on 1080p.
Here’s how other games performed with the AMD Radeon 680M integrated graphics:
- PUBG (70 FPS)
- Forza Horizon 5 (77 FPS)
- Far Cry 6 (40 FPS)
- Elden Ring (41 FPS)
- Cyberpunk 2077 (33 FPS)
- CS: GO (150 FPS)
- GTA V (88 FPS)
All of the above games were played at 1080p with low settings in most cases, except for GTA V and CS: GO, which ran on high settings. The performance was generally stable, so you shouldn’t experience major drops. However, since a recording software like OBS was used, it’s possible that without recording, the performance would have increased by 5 to 7 FPS in each game.
Is this mini PC for you? If your goal is not to run overly demanding games, this mini PC will definitely offer a great experience at an unbeatable price, with the added benefit of portability. Games like GTA5, DOTA2, APEX, RUST, CSGO, Fortnite, COD, and PUBG will run quite well.
In addition to the Ryzen 7 6800H and AMD Radeon 680M integrated graphics, the ACEMAGICIAN Mini Gaming PC includes 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a generous 512GB SSD. While this is the base version, if you feel you need more, there’s a second option that includes 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The ACEMAGICIAN Mini PC isn’t just for gamers. We believe it can also provide a great experience for office workers. For example, it allows you to connect up to 3 4K monitors simultaneously, which can boost productivity. It also features Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for stable internet speeds and peripheral connections without latency.
There are also plenty of ports available, so even though it’s a mini PC, it doesn’t mean you’ll have fewer ports than a standard PC or laptop. On the contrary, you’ll have more. You’ll find:
- 5 USB-A ports
- 1 USB-C port
- HDMI
- DP
- Ethernet
- 3.5mm audio
It’s definitely a mini PC with everything you need for both gaming and work without worrying about performance. As you can see, it’s small but powerful.
Warranty: 12 months from purchase.
