AnyTrans for iOS : The Must-Have File Manager for iPhone

I will be completely honest and say that I am not at all a fan of iTunes. Unlike Android phones where you can just plug the device on your computer and have access to all of your files, it is quite a hassle to do that with iTunes. Luckily, one can tackle this problem by using a third-party file manager. In this article, we will be reviewing AnyTrans for iOS which can be a perfect alternative to iTunes for file sharing.

Device Manager

Device Manager lets you manage all of the files available on your iOS device. The first thing is to of course connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer and then give the software the required permissions to access the device. Once that is done, you get access to all of your photos, videos, music, messages, apps etc. To export files from your iOS device to your computer, select the files and click on the ‘Send to PC’ icon on the top right.

I doubt whether Apple will ever implement any of these features on their iTunes app.

Backup Manager

As the name suggests, Backup Manager lets us make a complete backup of our device. There are two ways in which we can back up our device. The first one is a Full Backup that backs up all the data from the device. The second one is the Incremental Backup that only backs up new data which does not exist in the previous backups. When Air Backup is enabled, AnyTrans will automatically backup any new data incrementally as long as the device and the computer are connected to the same WiFi.

Social Media Manager

Some people prefer transferring their social media messages to their new device. With the help of Social Media Manager, you can do that. You can easily make a backup from social media apps such as Whatsapp, LINE, and Viber and save the backup on your computer and restore them anytime you wish. Or you can use the ‘iPhone to iPhone’ feature to directly transfer the messages from one device to the other.

Other Helpful Utilities

Media Downloader can be used to download videos and audios from more than 1000+ popular websites. All you need to do is paste the link in the search bar and then download the file. Once the file is downloaded, you can transfer it to your iOS device.

Ringtone Maker is yet another useful feature that lets us trim an audio file and use it as a ringtone. Simply, drag and drop the song and then trim your favourite part of the song and then send it to your device.

App Downloader can be used to download and install apps on your iOS device. The downloaded apps get saved to the App Library and can also save historical versions of an app so that you can install any version whenever you want.

It has a clean user interface which makes using the software much easier. Along with a clean UI, AnyTrans also has the option to enable a dark theme. The software is priced at $39.99 for a 1-year license, but you can get a lifetime license for $49.99 which seems like a better option to me.
