ASUS, the global PC manufacturer who showcased some of their new devices at this year’s Asia D conference includes the new Macbook Air look a like Ultrabook and a new tablet. The company now officially announces the world’s first tablet powered by the powerful NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, called the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime. The Eee Pad Transformer Prime is an ultra-thin tablet at 8.3mm (0.33″) thin and weights just 586g (1.29lbs) which features a stylish metallic swirl design.
The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime comes with a 10.1 inch LED backlit Super IPS+ display with a 178 degree wide viewing angle and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. The tablet also features a 1GB RAM, GPS, gyroscope sensor, 8 megapixel rear camera with auto-focus f/2.4 lens CMOS sensor capable of 1080p HD video recording, LED flash, 1.2 megapixel front facing camera, Sonic Master audio, 18 hours of battery backup, etc.
The Eee Pad Transformer Prime is the world’s first tablet to feature NVIDIA’s new next-generation quad-core Tegra 3 quad-core processor with 12-core GeForce GPU and vSMP technology that enables the tablet to perform multitasking and gaming capabilities with ease.
The ASUS tablet also comes with new innovative applications like SuperNote that enables users to draw, take or record notes and Polaris Office which lets you to read, edit or create Word, Excel and PowerPoint (MS Office 97-2007) compatible files.
