Blogging is the Great Equalizer

As you know I have been bringing in a staff of writers to DragonBlogger.com to help increase the number of quality articles on the site as I continue to grow and expand DragonBlogger into the Technology and Entertainment portal that I envision for it.  I was thinking as I sat reviewing resumes and requests to become writers on how much of an equal opportunity employer blogging in itself is.  Think about it for a second, you can find 14 year old kids on the same playing field as 55 year old CEO’s and corporate executives when it comes to the blogosphere and one doesn’t necessarily have an advantage over another except in perhaps writing style and vocabulary (in some but not all cases).

Blogging is the great equalizer and I have had guest bloggers from the U.K., India, Philippines, Australia and more here on DragonBlogger.com.  With such global diversity this gives a site the ability to reach  a vast audience and really just showcases how much the Internet IS a part of the Global Economy.  In addition blogging, online marketing and freelancing sites have inspired and brought forth more entrepreneurs from around the world than ever in history.  I think entrepreneurialism is such a great endeavor in itself.  To be able to take your ambition and try to create something yourself from the ground up is spectacular.  Running a startup or venture can build experiences no matter whether you reach success or failure with them.  You are always learning and many online ventures cost a fraction of what local business startups would, some you can even get your feet wet for free as in the case of running on a free blogging or CMS platform.

There is no doubt that blogging and other forms of online ventures will continue to increase as thousand more flock to try and start something new.  These startups include everything from social media marketing, freelance writing, affiliate marketing, as well as video blogging which is rapidly on the rise.  The fact that DragonBlogger.com is now hiring writers and I have become at least somewhat of an employer means I am giving back and helping others earn a little bit here and there which is thrilling and I can’t wait until this site grows large enough to where I can pay writers on a more steady basis.

Whenever I start to get tired or a little burned out on writing blogs all I have to do is look around at the blogging community and see all the new Infopreneurs starting up their own idea or venture and its fairly easy to find something to motivate me again.  Though of course we all keep in mind that so many thousands try to startup a blog, or online venture and very few can actually reach the success they need to live full time off of it, but instead of focusing on the fact that very few make it to the top, I applaud everyone who makes the effort and think if you have an idea or want to get your feet wet in any field then you should go for it.  After all, there are more than a few bloggers who are young teenagers who make enough money or will have made enough money to pay for their college by the time they are 18, how cool is that?
