Attractive and high quality images draw attention, people are more like to be engaged and drawn in if they first see something visually appealing this is why services like Pinterest, Instagram are so popular. So if you haven’t been using high quality images or stock photography for your blogs yet then you are missing out on an important method to keep readers on the page and entice them to stay if they visit from a Google search results page.
For just about a year I have been using Depositphotos for many of my stock images, they offer an incredibly wide selection of images (over 10 million to choose from) and you can narrow it down to the categories you are specifically looking for. They even have seasonal stock photogram sales, like the current one they are doing where all Christmas stock photography is on sale.
I can even find Christmas related images for a technology blog, just simply combining “computer christmas” in the search reveals a variety of images that I could even use to make DragonBlogger more festive and stay in the technology theme.
One such example is the Christmas Tree Key seen above. Depositphotos lets you buy only the image sizes that you need, so you pay less if you only need smaller featured images or thumbnails and you are not forced to buy a large image or vector.
But most importantly, I think Depositphotos has a fantastic subscription service where you pay a monthly premium and are able to download a set number of stock images per day of any size. This is probably the best deal and if you blog every day then you will easily use your subscription to get your moneys worth.
If you are a blogger or run a website, Depositphotos wants you to try out their services and in many cases is willing to give you a review subscription or even help you host a giveaway for your readers to spread the word and show others how much you enjoy using their services. This Depositphotos for bloggers program is open for anyone to apply to, I would take advantage of it if you run a blog that gets a decent amount of traffic and test out the service so you can show your readers how easy it is to use to find stock photography and how many great images they have available.
I have used Depositphotos for images for my poetry blog, personal blog, technology blog and if you buy the photo you are not required to give a link to image credit as you purchased the photo. This helps negate you leaking out PR from your post for the image credit links that are required when using free images online.
Finally, nobody wants to see the same images recycled constantly online, Depositphotos has a great recently added so you can look at the newest images and stock photography so you can be sure you are among the first to present a fresh image for your content rather than one seen on dozens of other sites already. If you need images or stock photography for your blog then I highly recommend you take a look at Depositphotos today.
