After multiple speculations among Fears to Fathom fans, episode 5 already has a release date scheduled according to the developer. According to an announcement from the creator, published in X, Fears to Fathom – Woodbury Getaway (episode 5) will be released on September 12 on Steam (in about 4 weeks). The creator of the game himself has made it public. In addition, the planned release date can also be viewed on Steam.
What is the new episode of Fears to Fathom about? We must remember that all episodes are based on true stories that have been sent to the creator. Unlike conventional horror games, the horror of Fears to Fathom focuses on psychological realism, i.e., scary situations that can happen in real life.
The new episode focuses on the life of a 23-year-old who works for a consulting firm. After hard work, he decides to plan a getaway with his friends to have fun and get out of the routine; However, things won’t go as smoothly as I had hoped.
The trailer does not show too much information, but everything seems to indicate that the episode will be much longer or at least with more changing scenarios compared to the previous ones. Apparently, the group of friends will play Ouija board at some point in the story, but we still don’t know what the plot is about. The previous episodes are not about ghosts, but rather about strange people who follow us, and that is the reason for the success of Fears to Fathom: the psychological terror of assimilating that it is an experience that unfortunately can occur in real life.
Fear to Fathom Woodbury Getaway: Price and Availability
While the starting price isn’t available on Steam yet, we can get an idea of what the new episode of Fears to Fathom might cost. The previous episodes had an introductory price of $4.99, so it’s very likely that it will stay in that range or be slightly higher (especially if the story is a bit longer).
Fears to Fathom is a series of episodes developed by a single person, so this is probably why the price is quite low. The creator himself mentions that he develops the games from his bedroom, which also means that the work is much harder.
To date, Fears to Fathom is only available for PC through Steam, but Rayll does not rule out that at some point it will be published for consoles.
