The internet is full of pages, but many people forget to discover some peculiar ones that can be truly fun. Therefore, we bring our dear Dragon Blogger readers an article where we will talk about Radio Garden, a free website that allows you to tune into an international or local radio station in real time.
Radio Garden is not new at all; since its development by a Dutch team in 2016, it has grown enormously, currently having hundreds of radio stations available. Best of all, all stations are 100% free to listen to.
How Does It Work?
Navigating Radio Garden is quite simple (you can click here to go to the official page). Once on the page, you will see an interactive world map. Then you will be able to appreciate hundreds of green dots, and each one of those green dots signifies a radio station available to listen to.
Some radio stations might play music, but many broadcast news or even comedy segments. Therefore, you can check out different stations to discover it for yourself.

For example, in this image, I am listening to a radio station located in Alaska, so I can hear some popular music from the area. I also listened to some conversation about different issues, which was intriguing to learn about the residents’ concerns.

In this other radio station, located in Switzerland, you can listen to the music being played in real time. This is just to give you an idea of how easy it is to explore different radio stations.

I was also able to take a “ride,” which is basically a fun way to explore different regions of the planet and realize what is being listened to right now.
Now, Radio Garden cannot only be used for entertainment; it has great potential for improving a new language you might want to learn, whether it is Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, or any other language of your choice.
