Smart plugs have quickly become one of my favorite things in the tech world. While things like drones and cameras are fun and exciting, smart plugs are something that makes my day to day life easier, which is why I am a huge fan of them in general. Today, we’re covering this four pack of smart plugs from Gosund. I don’t (currently) have an Alexa or Google Home to connect it, but you’re able to operate it through your phone for easy use. Overall, they worked great and they’re an excellent price compared to some of the smart plugs on the market.

How to set them up

First, you need to download the Smart Life app and then create an account. If you already have smart devices, you probably already have the app since it’s a common one used to control different ones around a home or office. After you take them out and plug them in, you have the option of using Easy Mode or AP Mode to connect it to your phone. Some people on Amazon said they had trouble connecting using Easy Mode but I didn’t at all. It connected easily and quickly for me.

Using the Gosund plugs

Once they’re connected, you’re able to control it through your phone. All of the features I tested worked perfectly, including the timer and scheduling. You’re able to have these plugs go on with voice command through your smart devices, schedule them, or have them be activated after certain triggers are activated. This gives you the ability to control it all from your phone instead of having to remember to control them or reach them all the time.

Overall Use

These Gosund smart plugs are a dream for hard to reach outlets or things you want to be scheduled. I didn’t have any problems with synching them or trying to get them to work. Only one struggled a little bit to connect, but there are two connection options, which helped a lot. I liked that it was a four pack so you’re able to use them in various places across your space. You can also rename each device so you remember what it is plugged in to. You’re also able to put the location in the app so if you have a particular room you want to control, you can do this.
