Sony announced its new offering fom its Cybershot range of digital cameras, the DSC-TX55. The new camera comes with an exceptionally super slim and stylish design, and boasts to be the world’s thinnest digital camera.
The DSC-TX55 camera features a whole new range of technologies, which includes “By Pixel Super Resolution” technology, that helps to enhance the cameras zoom range to 10x without compromising on the quality of the image, a “Picture Effect” mode, which allows users to bring on new effects without the need for a picture editing software, such as HDR Painting, Rich-tone Monochrome, Miniature, Toy Camera, Partial Color, Pop Color and Soft High-key. It also features electronic image stabilization for vertical and horizontal handshake correction, SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode compensates for handheld camera movements during Full HD video shooting.

The Sony Cybershot TX55 comes with a 16.2 megapixel, Exmor R™ CMOS sensor that produces incredible image quality and ultra-low picture noise in both still images and Full HD video even in low light conditions. The camera also boasts of a hi-speed auto focus which can lock onto subject in just 0.1 seconds. The TX55 comes with a 3.3-inch (8.3cm) Xtra Fine OLED wide touch-screen, and also features Sweep Panorama mode, 3D Still Image mode, and shoots 12 megapixel stills while simultaneously shooting full HD video.
The Sony Cyber-shot TX55 camera comes with a price tag of $350, and is expected arrive this September at your nearest Sony stores, www.sonystyle.com and other authorized retailers throughout the Sony Dealer Network.
