The internet has been buzzing without a break since the announcement of the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Both brands have a passionate fanbase that swears by their choice. But, the specifications for both consoles are pretty similar, putting more emphasis on the game selection and exclusives than ever before. In this article, we’ll highlight some of the best upcoming PlayStation 5 games.

Is PlayStation For You?

There are still chances that you’re unsure what console to get, and if console gaming is even for you. Both PlayStation and Xbox will release consoles that are very similar spec-wise, making this decision more difficult. If you’re a diehard PlayStation fan or you like some of their exclusives, this console might be for you. The same applies for Xbox.

If you like exclusives from both camps and put a lot of emphasis on performance, a gaming PC might be a better choice for you. Smartphone gaming is another good option for casual gamers. There’s a large variety of great smartphone games, from free slots and casino games to triple-A games like League of Legends and Fortnite. 5G will also offer new opportunities by enabling a latency-free gambling experience which can be highly useful.

But, keep in mind that the operating system of your smartphone or PC is essential. Whilst casino games and other such free games are available on most operating systems, other games are not. Apple has a great relationship with Riot Games, the developer of League of Legends, but not so much with Epic Games, making Fortnite virtually unplayable on Apple devices.

All of these details are important to consider when choosing a gaming device. However, without any further ado, let’s take a look at some of the best upcoming PlayStation 5 games.

Watch Dogs Legion

Watch Dogs Legion is the next game in the Watch Dogs franchise, confirmed to be released on the 29th of October. It was first announced in 2019 at E3, and after some delays, it will be surely coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC now. Opinions regarding this game are rather mixed but if you enjoyed the mechanics of its predecessors, Watch Dogs Legion will be a nice throwback.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

The Assassin’s Creed franchise is widely known both for its mechanics and fun gameplay but also for the realistic locations depicted in the games. This upcoming title will take us back to the Dark Ages, enabling us to explore the north as a Viking. Most game elements stay true to England’s 9th Century, giving players lots of exploration opportunities. The game will be released on November 10th, two days before the PlayStation 5.

Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is without a doubt one of the most sought after games of 2020. With a handful of delays, the initial release of the game will be on November 19th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you do grab a copy of Cyberpunk 2077 for PS4, you will be able to play it on the PS5 on launch day. However, a native PS5 version will only come at a later date in 2021, with a free upgrade available.

Exclusive PS5 Games

The games mentioned above are cross-platform and can be played on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. However, PS5 will also have a handful of exclusives such as Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Forbidden West, Godfall, and a few others. Some of them are pretty good but, keep in mind, you will not be able to play these on the upcoming Xbox Series X.
