As of August 20, 2026, Google has officially launched its latest and most advanced phone, including both the standard Pixel 11 and the Pixel 11 Pro. So, if you've never used a phone made by Google, this could be your chance to get one.
What's new in the Google Pixel 11?
Compared to the Pixel 10, the new Pixel 11 comes with several interesting upgrades, starting with the new Tensor G6 processor, which delivers better performance and more AI features. There are also improvements to the cameras, display, and battery, along with new features such as Magic Capture and Camera Looks.
It's not a massive upgrade, but as we've seen in recent years, many of the changes are mainly focused on software, since Google is one of the companies investing the most in AI. Because of this, I'd recommend upgrading if you have a Pixel 8 or older, or simply if you want to try a Google phone for the first time.
When it comes to the camera, the 5x telephoto lens appears to be significantly better, at least technically. It now has a sensor that is 70% larger, so photos should look much better in low-light conditions. However, this will largely depend on how well the software performs, so it's something that should be tested and compared in detail.
How long does the battery last?
This is interesting because the new Pixel 11 Pro has a 4,850 mAh battery, which is actually 20 mAh smaller than the Pixel 10 Pro's battery. Despite that, Google claims up to 30 hours of battery life instead of the 24 hours offered by the Pixel 10 Pro. This suggests that Google has focused on optimization to improve battery life per charge on the new Pixel.
Wired charging remains capped at 30W, but wireless charging can now reach up to 25W when using a compatible Qi2.2 charger, compared to 15W on the Pixel 10 Pro. This is a significant improvement because wireless charging speeds have seen relatively few upgrades in recent years. Google appears to be improving its devices to make wireless charging more useful.
How much does the new Pixel 11 Pro cost?
The new Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,099, while the Pro XL starts at $1,299. Both Pro models offer virtually identical performance. The main difference is their size, but we don't think paying extra for a larger display is necessarily worth it, especially since the Pixel 11 Pro already has a 6.3-inch display, which is fairly large for most users.
You can also get the standard Pixel 11 for a little less, but if you want to upgrade and take advantage of the new features, we'd recommend going directly for the Pro model.
