Today I’m going to introduce you to a pretty interesting product that I have personally never covered before. I have certainly covered many types of remote-controlled products, including drones, airplanes, helicopters, cars, and even a remote-controlled boat.
This time, I’m talking about the Ruko R1 Mini Robot Dog. It is exactly what its name suggests, a robotic dog in the form of a miniature robot. It doesn’t simply look like a regular household dog. Instead, it has a more futuristic appearance. This makes it a great gift idea for kids or, why not, even for yourself because it is quite fun to play with.

I think the design of this robot is quite unique, and most of you have probably never seen anything quite like it. This is especially great for kids because it combines technology with the opportunity to keep them entertained outdoors instead of spending all their time looking at screens.
The robot is made almost entirely of reinforced ABS, which is a fairly durable material. That is great news because, as you probably know, kids are not always the most careful with their toys and gifts. It also features an interesting function called self-righting, which basically allows the robot to get back on its feet by itself if it accidentally gets flipped over due to a mistake while controlling it.
It may sound like a simple feature, but it is actually quite useful because kids can often get frustrated when they have to physically walk over and reposition these types of remote-controlled vehicles. It is great that the Ruko R1 can solve the problem by itself so kids can quickly get back to having fun.
How long does the Ruko R1 Mini Robot Dog battery last?
This is a great question because you might think that controlling this robot could drain the battery quickly, but that is not necessarily the case. Ruko includes a rechargeable battery inside the robot that can be charged through a charging port. It takes around 2 hours to fully charge and provides up to 50 minutes of use, which is plenty of time for kids to have fun without constantly worrying about the remaining battery life.
The charging cable is included, although keep in mind that the remote control requires two AAA batteries, which are not included. Fortunately, these types of batteries are easy to find almost anywhere and usually cost less than a dollar.
