How to Convert from PDF to Word

Step 1: Download and install PDF Wiz on your Windows computer by clicking here. The software is available only for Windows and has a 3 day trial period that lets the user try the software for free without any limitations.

Step 2: In the home menu of the application, there are a couple of options to choose from. For now, we will take a look at converting PDF files to Word. Hover the mouse over to ‘Convert PDF to Word|Excel|PowerPoint|Image|HTML|EPUB|XPS’ and then select ‘PDF to Word’.

Step 3: The third step is to add the PDF file. There are two ways to add the PDF file for conversion. The first method is to directly drag and drop the PDF file. The second method is to click on ‘Click to Add File’. This will open the Browse window and the PDF file can be selected from there.

Step 4: The fourth step is to customize the file preferences. If you wish to only convert a few pages instead of the whole PDF, you can do that by clicking on ‘All’ and then specifying the page range. Select the file format from .doc and .docx. I prefer .docx since it is an improved version. Then choose the convert mode to ‘editability fist’ or ‘format first’ depending on your preference.  The last step is to select the Save Directory. How to Convert from Word to PDF

To convert Word files to PDF, click on ‘Convert File to PDF’ and select ‘Word to PDF’. The earlier steps can be followed here as well. Simply drag and drop the Word file, select the Save Directory and click on ‘Convert Now’.

The same steps can be repeated to convert EPUB and XPS files to PDF. To convert images to PDF, select all the required images and drag and drop them over to the application window. Make sure the checkbox is ticked if you want to convert all of your images into a single PDF file. Lastly, click on ‘Convert Now’.

 

How to Split and Merge PDF Files

If you want to split a PDF file into multiple PDF files, you can do that by clicking on ‘Split PDF’. Add the PDF file and then select the split type. You can either split the PDF by page numbers or by page spots. You can then choose how many splits you would like in each PDF file and the software will do the job.

To merge multiple PDF files and convert them into a single file, click on Merge PDF. Then select the desired files and click on ‘Merge Now’.

How to Reduce PDF File Size

In case the size of your PDF file is larger, you can compress it to reduce the file size. Click on ‘Compress PDF’ and add the PDF file. Select the compression level depending on whether you want to prioritize clarity or size. Use standard if you want to preserve the clarity while still reducing the file size. Once that is done, click on ‘Compress Now’.

Extract Pages and Images from a PDF

To extract specific pages from a PDF file, click on ‘Extract PDF’. Select the PDF file that you want to extract the pages or images from. Click on ‘All’ icon and select the page range. Under the operation, choose either ‘Extract Page’ or ‘Extract Image’ as per your preference. Then click on ‘Extract Now’. The extracted files will be saved in the specified directory.

Manage PDF Password

The last feature that is provided in PDF Wiz is to set or remove passwords from your PDF file. To set a password, add the PDF file and click on ‘Add Password’ under the Operation tab. Type a password for your PDF file and click on ‘Add Password’.
