The Hauppauge HD PVR Rocket is a stand alone video game recorder device that allows you to record your game from any console or PC. Yes, I say any console and you can record 1080p HD with it, so you can record your brand new Xbox One or PS4 video game play, or even use the HD PVR Rocket to record legacy consoles too like the Nintendo 64 or anything that plugs in via composite or component cables.
Included in the box, you get the HD PVR Rocket HD video recorder with built-in microphone mixer and USB thumb drive port for recording, 6′ HDMI cable to connect to your TV monitor, 6′ PS3 Component video cable and AV adapter, and 6′ USB power cable with ‘Y’ for connecting to game consoles or for PCs. Not included is the USB stick you need to store your video files so make sure you have a USB stick to hold your video files and it is estimated that a 16Gb USB thumb drive can hold up to 4 hours of video before you need to offload it and upload to start recording some more video. Recording length is only limited by the size of your USB thumb drive.
