With the rise in popularity of PC gaming, having a mouse that can keep up with your action-packed games is more important than ever. This month, with our team streaming on Twitch as often as we are, I needed a mouse that could hold up to more gaming than my current options. The HAVIT HV HV-MS735 is an incredible option for someone who needs all the bells and whistles of a top-notch gaming mouse. With 19 programmable buttons, sleek design for easy holding, and settings up to 16,400 DPI, you can get everything you’d want out of a game thanks to this mouse. Here’s everything you need to know about this mouse if you’re on the market for a new one.
Using the HAVIT HV HV-MS735 gaming mouse
Right out of the box, I plugged the HAVIT mouse into my PC laptop and it was ready to use in seconds. The first thing I noticed was how light this mouse was. Now, I know some people enjoy putting weights into their gaming mouse to make it a bit heavier, but I’m someone who prefers a lighter mouse for gaming. This mouse moves quickly, which is the second feature I noticed right away. When you’re playing fast-paced games, you need a mouse that can respond as fast as possible to your request.
There are three lighting models and 16 million LED color options, which you can fully customize inside the software (software not available for Linux and Mac). You can even turn off the lights if you so choose. Overall, it was easy to set up and use. My hand might just be slightly smaller than the intended market, but it’s not too noticeable during gameplay. Each of the buttons near the thumb is raised in different ways so it’s easier to slowly start getting the system for hitting each one.
Software for the HAVIT
To download the software, you simply go to this site and download the software you need. The video down below will cover the software even more. From inside the software, there are a ton of things you can customize:
- Mouse speed
- Double-click speed
- Each of the 19 buttons
- Scroll speed
- DPI settings
- And more
Build of the mouse
The HAVIT gaming mouse has a fully-braided cord that’s pretty stiff and takes a bit to straighten out and not pull your mouse. The scroll wheel is textured through the middle and also has rubber grips on each side so you can use the two additional buttons that the scroll provides. It also has a gold-plated USB. This mouse weighs 8.8 oz.
This mouse can go up to 16,400 DPI. If you don’t know what DPI is, it stands for dots per inch. Essentially, the higher the DPI is, the farther your cursor will jump when you move the mouse. There is a blue light under your palm which shows you where your DPI is at for the mouse. You simply click the up and down arrows under the scroller to change this setting. There are five Teflon feet placed strategically along the bottom so you can maintain control when you’re moving your mouse.
Features of the HAVIT HV HV-MS735
As both a Mac and PC gamer, having a mouse that can do both is incredibly helpful. Now, I do have to say that there are not nearly as many features available on the Mac, such as all 12 buttons, but it’s nice to know that even if I use it as a regular mouse, I am able to use it’s lightweight and quick clicking speeds to my advantage.
My other favorite feature on this mouse is the thumb support. It is one of those features I didn’t realize I wanted in a mouse until I just used this one.
- 12 macro side buttons
- 7 adjustable DPI & cool LED lights (when it’s on a Mac, the lights just cycle through all the colors)
- 19 total programmable buttons
- Built only for right-hand use
- Universal Mouse: Support Windows 2000/ 7 / 8 / 10 / XP /Vista/ME System for programmable using, Mac OS and Linux for normal using
