Maybe you picked up your new TCL Roku TV during the Amazon Prime Day sale in July 2018 where the price was incredible, or maybe you had one for a while now. One thing by default when you power on the TCL Roku TV it shows you the home screen with all your input and app options, but maybe you want your TCL Roku TV to default to Satellite when you power it on, or have the Roku TV default to HDMI 1 when you power it on instead of the default home screen.
Here are instructions on how to make your TCL Roku TV change the default power on screen.
First from your TCL Roku TV home screen, scroll down to the settings option.
Press the right arrow on the Roku Remote and select the System option, then press the right arrow again and select thee Power Setting.
Finally one more time with the right arrow to select the Power On setting.
When you are on the Power On Settings in the TCL Roku TV Power settings you can now use the right arrow to select the default power on screen. You can use the last used TV Input which is probably the most common if you want it to continue where you left off when you turned your TCL Roku TV off. But if you are like me and watch Netflix or Amazon Prime at night but watch live Satellite TV when you getup, you may want to default it to Satellite or HDMI 1 if your SAT input is using HDMI 1, or antenna if you are using an HDTV antenna directly in your TCL Roku TV.
Press the OK button on the Roku remote control and you can have your default power on setting changed to be whichever you prefer.
To test and validate changes, just power off your TCL Roku TV and power it back on again to see if your TCL Roku TV is now using Satellite or HDMI as it’s default power on screen.
