If you’ve ever used the regular iPhone charger, you know it’s too short to charge from a distance. It’s convenient to be able to charge your device from a distance. That’s where the iXCC lightning cables come in. These extended cords give you must longer room for any charging needs. iXCC sent me two different cords for this review, the reg the 6ft regular cable and the 4ft nylon cable. I should mention that I tested these cords with my iPhone SE.
So far, I’ve been using these cables for about two weeks now and haven’t encountered any problems. They slide into every USB port with ease and it stays secure in my iPhone while it charges. These cords are pretty simple and right to the point. One end is the regular USB plug and the other end is the lightning cable. Between the two cords, the only difference is the flexibility. The regular white cord is more stiff than the nylon cord.
Another benefit to having an extra cord around is the ability to charge your devices in multiple places. I was surprised at the speed my phone was charged. It would go from 50% to 100% in just about 25 minutes.
Thankfully, these iXCC cords are Apple certified so you avoid that “this accessory isn’t compatible” message from other charging cables you might buy online. Between the two, I prefer the nylon cord due to the flexibility. Both of them are sturdy and you can tell they will generally last longer than cheaper generic cords.
