I have been through a few different PlayStation 5 controller charging docks in since I got my PS5 in October and none of them has impressed me as much as the most recent which is the NexiGo PlayStation 5 Controller Docking Station. NexiGo by far takes the winner trophy as a budget friendly PS5 controller charging station beating every other model I have reviewed so far. This is because they use the copper contact pins to set and charge the controller instead of the USB Type C plug which means the controller doesn’t have to seat in as far and it is faster and more efficient to put the controller on the charging station and take the PlayStation 5 controller of the charging dock. The dual sense controller charging station also uses an AC outlet plug instead of tying up a USB port in your PlayStation 5 so that you can just have it plugged in next to your console and charge the controllers anytime. The controllers power on and power off when they are fully charged, so you will not see any constantly glowing light even when the controllers are fully charged which is a huge plus a swell. The angle that the NexiGo upgraded charging station holds the controllers is also very well designed and aesthetically it matches the PlayStation 5 as well. The NexiGo power station for the PS5 controllers uses a 5.3V/3A power adapter and I can confirm that the the PS5 DualSense controllers fully charge in under 3 hours.

But wait there’s more!
Not only does the NexiGo PS5 Controller Charging station give you the ability to charge 2 Playstation 5 controllers at the same time, it also includes a few different controller tips and trigger extenders and you can simply put the thumb stick covers to add extra rubber and some bumps to help prevent your thumbs from slipping or wearing away your PS5 controller thumbsticks. They give 2 with the little nipples sticking up on top, and one really large one which sets one thumbstick much higher than the other, which I wasn’t as fond of. The R1/R2 trigger extenders did a good job adding more extension but I ended up not liking the way they felt as much with the dual shock controller vibrations and having to hard press them for some games. The thumb sticks however will add extra protection so you don’t wear away the PS5 controller thumbsticks and are recommended you use them.
Overall the NexiGo PlayStation 5 Controller docking station is a fantastic choice for letting you charge 2 PS5 controllers at the same time and the thumb stick covers and trigger extenders are a nice touch they added on top of it.
