Right off the bat, I have to say that the packaging for the OVC H15 noise canceling headphone was impressive. When you first open it, you feel like you’re opening a very expensive set of headphones. It’s obvious a lot of thought went into the packaging and design.
Sound and microphone
The OVC H15 headphones come with full noise cancellation. Granted, I tried it next to a loud TV and it didn’t cancel it out completely, it still dulled it a significant amount which was impressive. These have up to a 30 decibels (dB) noise reduction. The cord is wrapped in nylon which created a rubbing sound in the headphone, so these might not be ideal for exercising or walking around unless you can keep it from rubbing. However, the nylon is great because it prevents the headphones from getting tangled.
Comfort
These headphones are surprisingly comfortable. They conform to the fit of your ear so it drowns out all the surrounding noise. These headphones also come with different ear inserts so you can find the perfect size for you. Each ear size has an in-ear lock so it stays in place. They didn’t slide out after hours of use, as some earbuds tend to do.
Noise Cancelling
You need to charge the noise cancelation device at the end of the headphones. It needs a quick charge and then the battery in it lasts for 60 hours. Built-in is the patented Dual Driver Active design which creates the noise cancelation without putting too much pressure on your ear. While it couldn’t completely get rid of loud sounds, I appreciated how much of a reduction it had on low-level hums I hadn’t noticed in my apartment. I wasn’t aware how loud my air conditioner was until I used these. It came in handy to have these around when I needed to listen to podcasts or work on video edits because it could drown out surrounding sounds. A huge benefit to noise canceling headphones is that you can keep your music at a lower volume. You don’t need to turn them up to compete with surrounding noises.
Bass Enhancement
The bass enhancement is amazing on these headphones. Since they suction so well into your ear, when the bass goes it sounds so good. I couldn’t get the bass enhancement and the noise cancelation to work at the same time, but it wasn’t a big deal since the bass is so powerful that it drowns out noise anyway.
