Samsung Mobile announced another phone from its famous Galaxy series, called the Galaxy Xcover. The Galaxy Xcover is the first Android rugged phone from Samsung, which boasts of a scratch resistant screen and also water resistant which can go for a dive in a 1 metre deep water for about 30 minutes.
The phone runs on the latest version of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and also features a 32. megapixel camera, WIFi, Bluetooth, GPS, HSDPA support. The comes with a special casing in order to resist against dust, dirt, water, etc.

There has been no information regarding the pricing of the Galaxy Xcover, but we are expecting it to be in the range of € 250 (US$ 355 approx). The phone is expected to start shipping from October 30, 2011 in Germany.
