One thing that has always appealed to me was how in some other countries you simply buy any unlocked phone that you want and then activate it with the wireless provider of your choice.  This is the opposite of the model where you start with a wireless provider and then they bundle in or you pay a subsidized fee for a phone and then are locked into a contract as a result of getting that fancy smartphone you wanted for a discount.

Their 4G coverage map is quite extensive at well, just take a look at the 4G coverage area.  Remember, this is for 4G coverage and if 4G isn’t available it will still failback to the slower network so it isn’t like you will have a dead area.

So if you can just bring any GSM unlocked phone, and not have to deal with an ISP provider locked phone, leverage a pay as you go plan rather than a contract how will that change your game?
