In several articles I've written about gifts for kids, I've always been against giving them tech products, especially smartphones and video game consoles.
While I can tolerate video game consoles if they're used responsibly, smartphones are simply too much for children because they provide unrestricted access to the internet, which can be risky, mainly because of the potential for addiction.
That said, this time I'm going to recommend a phone for kids that's actually a lot of fun. It reminds me of the kinds of children's phones that were around many years ago, long before people started getting their first smartphones.
These kinds of phones were very popular when I was a kid, so I think this will probably bring back a little nostalgia. Of course, the one I'm recommending today is much more modern, but I'm mainly referring to the fact that it doesn't have internet or anything like that.
This is the Luoba Kids Phone. Even though it's a modern device, there's no way to connect it to the internet, so kids will use it more like a fun toy than a smart device where they can spend hours wasting time online.
Instead of keeping children glued to silly videos, this phone includes several educational features. For example, it comes with 24 puzzle games, which are a great way to help improve children's cognitive development while also encouraging skills like patience and concentration.
It also has its own camera, which is a lot of fun because it includes plenty of stickers. You can take funny pictures with your child, and you'll both probably have a great time.
Even though it can't connect to the internet through WiFi or a SIM card, you can still add even more fun thanks to the included 8 GB microSD card, which lets you store MP3 music files. That means you can download some children's songs so your child can enjoy listening to them.
