I got from our good friends over at Havit the HAVIT®HV-H914BT Bluetooth Sport Headset to test and review. Now when it showed up I was thinking it would be the Blue ones but turns out they have a few color options and the black and yellow ones are the review pair that arrived.
It may have some yellow in it, but not to shabby of a yellow I must say. I don’t know if you guys are like me but it can be hard to find a headset that will fit in my ears properly. Havit made Bluetooth this headset with replaceable ear buds and ear lobe pieces so it should fit all ear sizes without issue.
Inside the package you get the normal stuff including the earbud headset, owners manual, recharger USB cord , and extra ear bud pieces. Now like I said before that is great that they come with extras for people like me. I tend to not fit all ear buds properly. So when I move around they tend to fall out pretty easily. By luck this set and some extras and bam I had a set that would fit and work great, they really had a size that fit in my ear and wouldn’t fall out which is rare in earbuds for me.
Watch my unboxing and install video here!
Now like the video shows it is easy as pie to hook up. Just a few clicks on your phone after turning power on your headset and your on the go. After hooking these up I started acting like a dork . To which my wife ask what the heck are you doing and I said testing the ear buds out. I must have looked like a 36 year old male head banging to death metal because she couldn’t take her eyes off me. I even went running up and down my stairs to my apartment (I live on a fourth floor) and the earbuds didn’t fall out. Now I can see a sports enthusiast using these during training at the gym or even the marathon runner. Heck I can see myself using them at the local gym I belong to. The best part is there are sweat proof as well!
Havit claims that these have an 8 hour straight use battery life, now I wasn’t about to go out and run for 8 hours I’m too lazy . So I hooked my PC up and connected it to it and gamed all day using the earbuds. In my testing I got about 7 hours plus of life before I needed to charge then which is not to shabby. They do say it has a 180 hour stand by time so fully charged you can sit for 180 hours on stand by before you need to charge again and that is a nice amount of time. Now one thing I notice is they claimed it could be paired to two devices so that once you pair it, it will auto connect with the most recent two devices without having to be re-paired.
Now I know these are coming out in a few colors and so far see Blue/Black or Black/Yellow ones listed on Amazon. I am not sure what other colors will be available but would like to see a red option and a white option in the future.
I bet you want to know how they sound. Well that is easy, they sound very good for earbuds. The Havit HV-H914BT have crisp clear treble and have rich deep bass but not over powered bass that some would dream about in their cars. Now using them for calling was nice and clear and the microphone sounded good with no issues with people trying to hear me. Or even me trying to hear them on a call sounded clear and these functioned as well as any headset that I have used for phone calls with my cell phone.
I give these a solid 5 stars for a Bluetooth sports head set you cannot go wrong with these what so ever. I would suggest picking a set up.
