National Geographic Shooting with the Nokia Lumia 1020

Say what you will about Windows Phone as a whole, but one thing that Nokia got right was putting a superior quality lens and camera in the Nokia Lumia 1020 and other model phones that just blows away the competition.  The average person really does not want to carry around a separate camera and phone and though DSLR will always be there for the professionals and near professionals, the high quality 41MP camera in the Lumia 1020 lets it take ridiculously sharp images and is the ultimate phone camera if you really want 1 device that can provide you outstanding photography capabilities while being your smartphone of choice.

Just take a look at the above video on how all the footage both video and stills were captured on a Nokia Lumia 1020 with National Geographic photographer, Stephen Alvarez, taking the Nokia Lumia 1020 as his only camera for this journey.  Kick up the video to 1080p by clicking on the wrench and selecting 1080p resolution if the video won’t default so you really can appreciate the shots and detail taken with the camera.

The camera is just amazing and though the camera is not the only reason to get a new phone, if you are someone who takes photos or video while you are out and about this is a very important feature and few phone camera’s have impressed me as much as the Nokia Lumia 1020 camera from reading about it and seeing some footage taken with the camera on the phone.
