Technology has evolved so extensively and you can see the difference by checking out different activities that you were used to doing about 3-4 years ago compared to how you do them today. Do you even remember when was the last time you’ve used a pen and sheet of paper to take down notes from the Internet or to write down your ideas? Do you ever write down web page URL’s on a sheet of paper anymore like the old days when you used to tell people about websites and write the full link to share with them? I don’t even know when I had used a notebook or paper to take down ideas. That’s the power of technology which is evolving day by day.
When it comes to browsing the Internet through Google Chrome, there are plenty of note taking extensions available on web store to ease the pressure of clipping and remembering snippets of information not just bookmarking pages.
Google Chrome Note Taking Extensions
Quick Note
As the name suggests, Quick Note is a powerful note taking Google Chrome extension which is very light-weight and performance driven. You can quickly add and edit notes by right clicking on the webpage. Also, instant search inside the extensions allows you to search for notes very easily. Additionally, all your notes are synced to cloud and therefore you won’t lose them all. In fact, they will be available wherever you go.
One of the most interesting features that I liked about this note taking app it allows you to select certain text from web pages and add it to your notes by simply right clicking on selected texts.

Catch Notes is the official note taking app from Catch Notes. It helps you add your notes and ideas with the tip of your fingers. You can also attach photos and screenshots to your notes. The most awesome feature of the Catch Notes is that it allows team collaboration. The check-list can easily be shared with your team members. You can also use tags and attach them to your notes. And you don’t need to worry about losing your notes because the extension is capable of automatically backing up all your notes to one place.

Sticky Notes is a very light-weight Google chrome extension which makes use of HTML5 local storage to store your notes. All your notes are saved automatically after default intervals of time have elapsed. Simply click on the sticky notes icon from the list of installed apps and tap on add note. This will open a new tab inside Google Chrome with a new smaller window to add your note. The notes window is pretty awesome with numerous vibrant colors added to it.
