With the world becoming more and more connected, knowing the time zones across the world becomes essential. Cyclonis is an app you can download for Mac and Windows to easily track time zones across the world. If you run an online business, have friends in other time zones, or do something like Twitch stream, you know how important it is to have time zones easily accessible for reference.

This video quickly explains Cyclonis World Time and how it works

How Cyclonis works

When you first go to the Cyclonis World Time home page, there are some download buttons based on your operating system so you can put it on your computer and get started. The download and installation only took about 3 minutes to complete. Once it was installed, there was a prompt if I was okay with it using my location, which I said yes because it’s a location-based app. However, you have the option of setting your own timezone if you don’t want them to access that data.

It also inserted hovering time stamps on my desktop as soon as I added two other clocks, which looked like this:

When you want to add a location, you simply click “add location” button on the homepage of the app and type in the city.

Then, it ends up looking like this:

A lot of our Dragonblogger team currently streams on Twitch, and we are currently all in different cities. When it comes to announcing our Twitch schedule and putting together different streams, it’s essential to know what time zone we are all in so the streams don’t overlap.

A lot of people now work all over the country through remote work or internationally with other clients. A clock like this would be essential to making sure you don’t miss meetings or anything else important.

Other things you can do

You can keep track of as many clocks as you want, which is great for huge teams. Some apps limit your ability to keep track of multiple cities, but Cyclonis doesn’t have that limitation. You’re also able to customize the hovering desktop widget to work and look how you want it to.

On top of all of that, Cyclonis also works hard to reduce it’s computer usage so it doesn’t suck up a lot of energy while it runs in the background.

Check out Cyclonis to improve your productivity and make sure you never miss an essential event ever again.
