Another Reason to Love WPX Hosting: The Staging Area

I switched over to WPX Hosting about 2 years ago and I have never looked back, the level of performance and support I get from WPX Hosting by far beat the support I was getting from Synthesis and the fact the support team took time to login to my site to tune and install optimization plugins, tweak settings and walk me through everything whenever I had a performance issue was fantastic.  They literally had my site loading 70% faster with the same number of plugins on their platform than on Synthesis hosting and the cost was only $5 more per month than the Synthesis hosting plan which was well worth it in my opinion.

Well another feature I really love about WPX Hosting is the WPX Hosting Staging area.  Most bloggers have to develop a separate sub-domain that is a clone of your site when you have to test new themes, plugins or want to make cosmetic or other changes.  With WPX Hosting they give you a free and automatic way to create a staging area where you can test any new themes, plugins and features on your site without having to risk your live site.  Then, when you are ready to commit the changes they can automatically sync your staging site to become your live production site.  This is just one of many fantastic reasons I have chosen WPX Hosting and I have never been disappointed by their support yet.  Usually even with quality performance hosts, you end up having support that leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth.  Too often I opened a support case with other hosting provides and got canned excuses like “you are using too many WordPress plugins” and general one shot responses without helping do any legwork to find problems.  My last straw with synthesis was when I had 0 problems one day and no changes to my site in a week, and all of a sudden the next day I was riddled with 500 errors and slow load problems.  The host blamed my plugins like they always do, and I told them nothing changed.  After never resolving my issue to my satisfaction I simply ported my site with everything identical to WPX Hosting and had not only no issues, but 3 second or less pageload times compared to twice that on the old host.

Now WPX Hosting cheapest plan is $24.99 per month for 5 sites, this is not your typical shared hosting.  This is WordPress managed hosting and you get excellent support, plus they migrate your sites for you at no cost, I had them migrate 5 of my sites over from various hosting providers. I migrated sites from HostMonster, BlueHost, Synthesis, HostGator, and InMotion Hosting without any issue.  They did the work and saved me time and had everything working flawlessly in less than 24 hours.  More than that, they offer SSL certificates if you want and integrated Cloudflare for all sites so you don’t even have to setup or do any of the work configuring Cloudflare in front of your site.  If you want to focus your time on the content and not the management of your WordPress site, then WPX Hosting has my complete and total endorsement.

They allowed me to save all that time I spent troubleshooting my WordPress sites, and having to tweak things here and there.  I just open tickets and let them do what they do best and I can focus on the content portions.  Seriously, time management is very important and I can tell you the Professional Plan I have from them which allows you to have 15 sites is a far better bang for the buck than any hosting provider I have used previously.

Another reason why I love WPX Hosting is they do handle Domain Zone Records which Synthesis does not, so you can simply manage your own CNAME, A Host, or other records and if you need records updated that you can’t access you can open a support request and they can create custom MX, TXT and other records for you.  I had to have all my Zone Records migrated from Host Monster to WPX Hosting for my custom mailing list records, DKIM and other records.  They did everything without any mistakes and such a great job.  When I used Synthesis web hosting I had to still manage my DNS Zone records at my previous hosting provider where I purchased the domain.

If you are a WordPress blogger and your site is starting to bring in 3,000+ visits per day or more and you are ready to take your site to a more professional hosting plan off of a shared hosting plan, then I would look into WPX Hosting.  I am confident you will not be disappointed, and I am curious how many of my fellow bloggers out there use WPX Hosting and are happy with their company and support.  They also host sites in the US and UK, so if you are a UK Blogger you can have a full managed WordPress UK site hosted as well.
