Novoo AC Power Bank Review

One of the hardest parts of traveling is not having somewhere to easily charge your devices. The Novoo AC power bank was created to solve this issue by giving you multiple outlets to charge your devices anywhere you go. When Novoo reached out to have their charger reviewed, I was happy to sign up and give it a go.

Portability

The best part of the NOVOO power bank is how easy it can travel anywhere. It’s about the same size as an enlarged soda can, so it’s big but not too big where it gets in the way (the official size is80mm x 80mm x 155mm). It’s easy to bring on an airplane, in your bag, or in a purse. Instead of having to hunt for a power outlet everywhere you go, you can just pull out your power bank and get a full charge. This could also come in handy during an emergency where you need to keep your devices charged.

Power and Charging

The NOVOO power bank has a 20,100 mAh capacity and 72.36 Wh (the battery capacity is 6,700 mAh, x3 outlets gives it the 20,100mAh. With this power bank, you can charge three different devices at once. It comes with three different ports: USB Type-C, USB-A, and an AC Outlet. There is built-in surge protection and short-circuit protection so you don’t need to worry about your devices getting hurt. When it comes to charging power, the USB output is 5V/2A (which can go up to 9V with a quick charge compatible device), USB type-C is 5V/3A and the AC outlet is 60W with a maximum of 70W. With a first test, it took about 30 minutes to get my iPhone SE from 70% battery to 100%, and it still has 5 out of 5 leds left.

As for the AC outlet, I couldn’t get it to charge my laptop at all. The few things it would charge would drain the battery within 30 minutes.

How it Works and What it Comes With

This power bank comes with a long charger so you can get it charged before you go. It also comes with a USB plug for your devices. When you get it out of the box, you simply attach the charger to the unit so it can get a full charge and then it’s ready to go anywhere. There are fans built in to keep it from over heating.

Overall Thoughts

I wish the AC outlet worked because this would be a perfect charger on the go. It’s pretty heavy, but considering how many times it can charge my phone, it would have been perfect.
