So I reviewed 2 TaoTronics tablet clamp/stands in the past few weeks and this was the more portable one that was specifically designed to attach to your desk or headboard of your bed so you could have a hands free tablet held up like a monitor or TV that you could watch while keeping your hands free.  Here is my unboxing and review of the TaoTronics Adjustable Tablet Stand to get started.

For those who don’t have time to watch the 6 minute video, let me go over some of the features, this tablet stand features:

  • Flexible iPad mini arm stand with desktop/table clamp
  • Creates floating iPad mini workstation
  • Clean and prfessional, does not take up any desk space
  • Easy to setup, no hard work required
  • Best handsfree iPad mini holder + 12 month warranty

Based on my review it works perfectly if your desk is a 3/4″ typical wooden desk where you can clamp it on properly, if you have a desk with really wide lips on the side, it won’t clamp around them, though this is not your typical desk.  It also works with bed headboards that have 1/2 or 3/4″ thick wood, but not solid ones with larger edges where the clamp wouldn’t fit around.  The flexible arm is very strong and holds the tablet fast and keeps it sturdy, the only thing is this is so specifically designed just for the iPad 2,3,4, iPad Mini and they have another model for the iPad Air.

The iPad Mini Model is the TT-HS04 and you can get it here: http://amzn.to/Ym9OXX

The iPad Air Model is the TT-HS05 and you can get it here: http://amzn.to/1qE4KFc

Update:

Ironically I reviewed the model for the iPad 2/3/4 and TaoTronics stopped making the model for those older iPad tablets, so they only make the iPad Mini / Mini 2 and iPad Air Desk or Bed Tablet Stand so unfortunately I reviewed a model you can’t directly get.  This is why I am not giving it an official review rating and stars, because the iPad 2 / 3 / 4 version is discontinued and I didn’t review the Mini or iPad Air Model.  But being they have the same exact design from what I can tell, they look like good options and I would have given it 4.5 stars.
