Windows 7 comes along with some amazing Aero themes built into it. However, if you wish to personalize any of the themes all you need to do is follow some simple steps to add desktop backgrounds, screensavers, transition between images, window opacity etc. Windows 7 also enables you to easily save the customized themes and save them locally or even export the themes for sharing with your friends and blog readers! How to Customize a Windows 7 Theme
- Right-click on the desktop and click on Personalize.
- Using the links on this page you can modify various features like desktop background images, screensaver, window opacity, window color, sounds etc.
How to Save and Export Customized Themes on Windows 7
- Right-click on the desktop and click on Personalize.
On this page you can view the entire list of Windows Themes available on your computer. At the top of the list, you can find the current and previously saved themes, under the “My Themes”.
- To save the current theme, click on Save Theme just below the “My Themes” section and above “Aero Themes” entering a descriptive name for the theme.
This will save the current Windows 7 theme locally if you wish to revert back to it later.
If however you wish to be able to use the same theme on another computer or share it with others, you can very easily export the themes saved on Windows 7.
- Right-click on the first “Unsaved Theme” in the “My Themes” section and click on “Save Theme for Sharing”.
A window opens up where you can name the “Themepack” file and save it at the desired location on your computer or a removable storage device.
Now you are free to share your creation with the world!
